RRB NTPC Typing Evaluation & Deduction Formula
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) skill tests follow a strict 5% error relaxation rule. Here is how your Net WPM is calculated:
- 5% Error Relaxation: Up to 5% mistakes of the total words typed are completely exempted from penalty.
- Penalty Deduction Formula: For every mistake exceeding the 5% limit, 10 words are deducted from the total words typed.
- Net Speed Formula:
Net WPM = [Total Typed Words - ((Total Mistakes - 5% of Total Typed Words) * 10)] / 10 - Qualifying Threshold: Candidates must achieve a Net Speed of at least 30 WPM (English) or 25 WPM (Hindi) to qualify the skill test round.
