AIIMS CRE Typing Evaluation & Penalty Rules

AIIMS CRE skill tests evaluate candidates based on standard key depression counting (5 keystrokes = 1 word). Mistakes are categorized as:

  • Full Mistakes (50 Keystrokes Penalty): Omitting a word, typing an incorrect word, or adding extra words not present in the master passage.
  • Half Mistakes (25 Keystrokes Penalty): Spacing errors (no space or extra spaces), single-letter typos, or wrong letter capitalization in English.
  • Qualifying Criteria: The skill test is strictly qualifying in nature. Achieving the threshold Net WPM with high accuracy (>93-95%) is required to clear the round.
