Punjab Recruitment Typing Test Evaluation Rules

Punjab government skill tests (PSSSB, High Court, PSPCL, Punjab Police) follow standardized state evaluation criteria:

  • Restricted Backspace Mode: Candidates can use backspace to edit and correct characters in the currently active word. Once spacebar is pressed to move to the next word, previous words cannot be modified.
  • Maximum Error Ceiling: A maximum of 8% total mistakes (omissions, substitutions, additions, typos) are permissible. Candidates exceeding 8% total errors are disqualified regardless of speed.
  • Speed Calculation Benchmark: Net WPM = (Total Correct Words Typed) / 10 Minutes. Candidates must maintain a minimum 30 WPM net speed.
