Marks Test (100.00 Marks Scale · 1.25 Marks deducted per mistake · Min 45.00 Marks to qualify (45 WPM benchmark))
The Madras High Court Typist and Computer Operator skill test is evaluated on a 100-mark practical scale based on the Tamil Nadu Higher Grade standard. Candidates must obtain a minimum of 45.00 marks (45%) over the 450-word passage (45 WPM benchmark pace) to qualify. Each error deducts 1.25 marks from 100 (aligned with the DoTE Higher Grade valuation standard). Note that candidates must also clear the Tamil Skill Test (45 WPM on 'MCL BHARATHI' font) and the Computer Practical Test (75 marks, min 34 to pass).
Candidates are evaluated on a 45 Words Per Minute benchmark passage (450 words in 10 minutes) in English (Higher Grade).
Final Score = 100 − (Total Mistakes × 1.25). To qualify, your final score must be at least 45.00 marks on the 450-word passage (45 WPM benchmark pace).
