Evaluation Model
Statutory 75-Mark Non-Linear Scale (Scheme A2-33066/2019 · 15 Min · ~500 Words · 120 KD/min · Min 45.00 Marks / 60% Cutoff)
Under the statutory scheme approved by the Hon'ble Chief Justice (File No. A2-33066/2019, Notification Nos. 15/2024 & 22/2020), the typing speed test consists of typing a passage containing about 500 words in 15 minutes at a speed criteria of 120 depressions per minute (~24 WPM). Valuation of the typing test is conducted strictly out of 75 marks according to an official 32-step deduction chart (0 errors = 75 marks; 1 to 10 errors deduct 2 marks each; 11 to 17 deduct 3 marks each; 18 deducts 4 marks; 19 deducts 5 marks; 20 to 31 deduct 2 marks each; 32 errors scores 0 marks). Candidates must achieve at least 60% (45.00 / 75.00 marks, permitting up to 13 mistakes) to qualify in the typing test. Separate stages evaluate 5 marks for neatness and 20 marks for Computer Proficiency during recruitment.
The typing speed test duration is 15 minutes with a prescribed passage of about 500 words.
Evaluation follows the Chief Justice's 75-mark table. The first 10 mistakes deduct 2 marks each (75 to 55 marks). Mistakes 11 to 17 deduct 3 marks each (52 to 34 marks). Mistake 18 deducts 4 marks (30 marks). Mistake 19 deducts 5 marks (25 marks), and mistakes 20 to 31 deduct 2 marks each. 32 mistakes scores 0 marks.
Candidates must secure at least 45.00 marks (60%) on the 75-mark typing speed test (requiring 13 or fewer mistakes) and meet the 120 depressions per minute speed benchmark.
