HP Typing Test Evaluation Rules
Himachal Pradesh state recruitment typing tests (HPSSSB, HP High Court, NHM HP) follow these standardized evaluation rules:
- Uniform Speed Standard: All HP state exams require a minimum 30 WPM net English typing speed. The test duration is 10 minutes across all three exam categories on this hub.
- 10% Error Tolerance (HPSSSB & HP HC): HPSSSB and HP High Court allow up to 10% mistakes. Candidates exceeding 10% total errors are disqualified even if their speed is above 30 WPM.
- 5% Error Tolerance (NHM HP): NHM HP follows a stricter 5% error ceiling, similar to SSC standard evaluation.
- Unrestricted Backspace: All three exams allow unrestricted backspace usage during the typing session. Candidates can freely correct errors within the allotted time.
- Computer-Based Test: HP state exams are conducted on government-provided computers. Candidates are not permitted to bring their own keyboards. Practice on standard keyboards to avoid layout surprises.
